My eye look so pretty dead
White as dew, rimmed with red
Fragile lids hide hurts that bled
Covering where tears had tread.
My mouth is supprssed and sealed
Over wounds that never healed
Silencing my surrender to yield
Galvanizing the sword and shield
My hair is limp and tame
No longer a symbol of shame
Adorning the crippled maim
Of a brain gone lame.
My Limbs are the rest
After a long endurance test
On a journey from east to west
Encumbered with jinx and jest.
My body is finally one
Compacted under the earths ton
No longer flying under the sun
Leaving behind a good son.
